	523S-1 Portable Adaptive Com-Link The Portable Adaptive Com-Link, also referred to as the PAC-Link, is a man-portable, battery operated IP router that can be used for mobile operations. The unit is designed to be carried by military and emergency response personnel and can be used in operational, tactical and surveillance applications where continuous communications between personnel and a base operation are needed. It can also be dropped or tied to railings or poles and then quickly removed when an operation is completed. The PAC-Link contains a FIPS 140-2 Validated™ module and is suitable for sensitive, unclassified operations.

• Portable Networking: The man-carry device weighs less than three pounds and creates a secure network for personnel deployed in the field on a mission or for emergency operations. Delivers up to 54 Mbps data rate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.
• Works in Tough Spaces: Portable devices can be used to create a network in areas where large structures or objects block the line of sight by simply dropping or tying the device around the perimeter to create a path that allows connectivity.
• Mesh Networking: Creates a self configuring, self-healing secure wireless mesh network in a matter of seconds to enable seamless and secure voice, video, and data communications. Detects and reports rogue access points.
• Extends Remote Networks: Offers simple deployment with mesh backhaul to base operations. Compatible with most Wi-Fi infrastructure products.
• Rugged Enclosure: Originally designed to withstand the challenging environment of U.S. Navy ships, the PAC-Link can be used by any branch of the Department of Defense that requires highly secure data communications in challenging environments.
• Long-Lasting Power: Includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a battery charge of approximately eight hours. External battery charger included.
• Multiple Operating Modes: Offers mesh network, bridge / repeater and client modes.
• Highly Secure: Contains the 3e-523-F2 FIPS 140-2 Validated™ module. Supports 802.11i and WPA2, WPA, AES and WEP . Can be configured for FIPS or non-FIPS submode.
• High Data Rates: With support of 802.11a/b/g standards, it can deliver up to 54 Mbps of data in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.
