EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. Receives $19 Million in Task Orders from U.S. Navy

Company to provide a virtual perimeter monitoring system solution

Irving, TX – October 8, 2008 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) announced today that its 3e Technologies subsidiary has received task orders totaling $19 million against the $48 million contract from the U.S. Navy that the company announced last week.

“We have received task orders calling for engineering support for the Navy-wide virtual perimeter monitoring system (NVPMS) solution, as well as for the design and implementation of the NVPMS baseline system,” said Michael Jalbert, president and chief executive officer of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. “These systems will be deployed in Navy installations in the U.S. as well as in the Pacific region.
