EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. Receives $1.5 Million Order from a State and Local System Customer

Company to provide maintenance services for its Multi-Net® system

Irving, TX – December 17, 2008 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) announced today that it has received an order valued at $1.5 million from a state and local customer. The order calls for the company to provide maintenance services related to the customer’s EFJohnson Multi-Net® public safety communications system.

“We designed and delivered the public safety communications system for this longtime customer, and have had maintenance contracts for each of the 8 years that the system has been in operation,” said Michael Jalbert, president and chief executive officer of EFJohnson Technologies, Inc. “The contract calls for us to perform preventative maintenance and service on the system infrastructure. We are pleased with the customer’s continued confidence in our system solutions.”
