Industry veteran to lead federal and state-and-local sales efforts

Irving, TX – January 19, 2009 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) today announced that it has promoted John Suzuki to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales.

“John has excelled in leading our state-and-local sales efforts for more than four years,” said Michael Jalbert, president and chief executive officer of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. “His leadership and drive have helped us to significantly grow our business.”

John Suzuki joined the company in June 2004 as the Vice President of Sales for the State and Local Government, International and Commercial markets. Mr. Suzuki has more than 20 years of professional and senior management experience in wireless technology within the Land Mobile Radio market, including general management, sales, product marketing, supply, operations and engineering. He holds a BSEE degree from the University of Ottawa and Masters Degree in Business from Duke University.
