EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. Announces TDMA Option for ES Series Project 25 Compliant Radios

Project 25 compliant portable and mobile radios offer investment protection and optional TDMA migration solution

Irving, TX – August 14, 2009 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) today announced a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) option for its ES Series of Project 25 compliant portable and mobile radios. The Company will be announcing this option at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) annual conference and exposition, August 16 – 19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Project 25 has defined its next phase of interoperability to incorporate TDMA technology. Phase II Project 25 allows first responders to increase system capacity while maintaining backward compatibility with their Phase I equipment. In support of this industry initiative, EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. is announcing a TDMA option for its award-winning ES Series Radios. By choosing this option, customers can upgrade to TDMA when their system can support it.
