Michael E. Jalbert
Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO
Michael Jalbert was appointed to serve as a director upon his hiring as President and Chief Executive Officer of EFJ, Inc. on March 1, 1999. Mr. Jalbert was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors on March 25, 1999. Prior to joining EFJ, Inc., Mr. Jalbert served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Microdyne Corp., a NASDAQ listed company, from March 1997 to February 1999. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Jalbert served as President and Chief Executive Officer of IDB Communications. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Jalbert was President of the CSD division of Diversey Corporation. Mr. Jalbert joined the Diversey Corporation from West Chemical Corporation, where he was President and Chief Operating Officer from 1987 to 1992. He has a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry from Concordia University in Montreal. |

Massoud Safavi
Chief Operating Officer - EFJ, Inc.
Massoud has over a decade of experience in managing technology businesses, with a background in operations and finance. Prior to Massoud’s appointment at EFJ, Inc., he served as president of IO Services, LLC, a strategic management consulting firm based in McLean, Virginia. Prior to IO Services, he served as senior vice president; chief financial officer; EFJ, Inc. board member; and chief operating officer of Transcrypt International. Massoud received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago; he holds both a CPA and CMA designation. |

Brenda Jackson
Senior Vice President, Sales
Brenda Jackson joined EFJohnson as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in January 2004. Most recently, Ms. Jackson was Director of Marketing for Raytheon First Responder Group. Prior to Raytheon, Jackson held progressively responsible positions at Motorola during her twenty year tenure. Her roles included: Director of Global Accounts Sales and Marketing, Area Sales Manager for the Advanced Product Team, Area Sales Manager for public safety and utilities, and Trade Area Manager. Ms. Jackson received an MBA from Madison University and a BS in Management Information Systems from Western Pacific University, and has a Business Management Certification from Southern Methodist University. |

Michael Gamble
Vice President, Administration
Michael Gamble, Vice President of Administration, started with the company in July 2004. Mr. Gamble’s responsibility areas include Human Resources, Information Technology, and the company’s various facilities. He possesses an undergraduate degree in Business Economics and an MBA in Finance and Administration. He has previous experience in HR and general management, most recently as General Manager of Warrenton Copper LLC in Warrenton, Missouri.

Ed Kelly
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
Ed Kelly is responsible for product marketing, business development, program management, and strategic planning. Before joining EFJohnson, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and General Manager for Allconnect. Prior to Allconnect, Mr. Kelly was Vice President of Emerging Market Sales and Business Development for BellSouth/Cingular. Mr. Kelly has also held executive positions in Fortune 100 companies such as GE, Ericsson, Motorola, and Allen Telecom. Mr. Kelly holds a BSEE degree from the University of Texas and Masters Degree in Business from Duke University. |

Marshall Lamm
Vice President, Operations
Marshall Lamm joined EFJohnson in July 2005 as Vice President Operations. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Lamm served as Vice President of Operations at GeoLogic Solutions Inc, a provider of wireless data communications and GPS location devices for the transportation and service vehicle markets. From 1993 to 1997, he was responsible for the AT&T Wireless product distribution network. Mr. Lamm has over twenty five years experience in manufacturing and operations management in high tech electronics, telecommunications, and defense contracting. |

Hobart Mendenhall
Vice President, Systems Engineering
Hobart Mendenhall, Vice President of Systems Engineering, joined EFJohnson in 1999 and is responsible for turnkey Land Mobile Radio Systems and Special Projects. Mr. Mendenhall’s original role was running the program management office, responsible for winning and implementing turnkey LMR systems. He began his career as a systems engineer for a simulation and training company. He moved to a computer manufacturer where he managed a group that worked with system integrators to design computer systems for real-time applications. Mr. Mendenhall has two BS degrees in Engineering – one in hardware design and the other in software design. |

David W. Morton
Vice President, Sales, Federal and DoD Markets
David Morton is the Vice President for Sales of EFJ’s Federal and DoD Markets. Prior to joining EFJohnson, Mr. Morton held several progressive Land Mobile Radio management positions at Motorola in Engineering, Sales, Six Sigma Quality and Marketing including Director of CDMA Product Management. In addition to Motorola, Mr. Morton has held General Management positions in Wireless Asset Tracking and Specialty Components manufacturing. Mr. Morton holds a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business and a MEA from George Washington University. |

John Oblak
Vice President, Standards and Regulatory Affairs
John Oblak, Vice President of Standards/Regulatory Affairs, has been active in the leadership of several industry standards committees. Mr. Oblak joined EFJohnson in 1984 and has held progressively responsible engineering and management positions in the company. He began his career in 1973 as a design engineer with RCA Radio Communications Systems Division, and held various responsibilities in the development of radio communications equipment. Mr. Oblak received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering in 1973, and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978, both from the University of Pittsburgh. |

Ed Pierson
Vice President, Performance Excellence &
Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Performance Excellence, Ed Pierson is responsible for managing the Information Management and Technology Operations, the Quality Operations, and driving the focus on excellence within EFJI. Prior to joining EFJI, Ed most recently served as SVP of Operations and CIO of Healthvision. Before Healthvision he was vice president of operations and customer support for Divine Managed Services.. He has also held positions with Novell as corporate business strategist and senior IT operations positions with Alcatel and Occidental Chemical. Ed has a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M and a M.S. degree in Management from UT Dallas.

John M. Suzuki
Vice President of Sales, State and Local Government, International & Commercial Markets
John Suzuki joined EFJohnson in June 2004 as the Vice President of Sales for the State and Local government, International and Commercial markets. Mr. Suzuki has more than 20 years of professional and senior management experience in wireless technology within the Land Mobile Market, including general management, sales, product marketing, supply, operations and engineering. Before joining EFJohnson Mr. Suzuki spent 15 years with Ericsson holding several progressive management positions in both the United States and Canada. Mr. Suzuki holds a BSEE degree from the University of Ottawa and Masters Degree in Business from Duke University.

John Szpak
Vice President, Engineering
John Szpak joined EFJohnson in January 2004. Prior to joining EFJohnson, he held progressively more responsible engineering development and management positions at Motorola spanning two way radio, wireless data, paging, and cellular technologies, most recently as Director of Software Engineering in the Cellular Infrastructure group. His international experience includes managing cross-functional development organizations in Israel, Russia and Canada. Mr. Szpak received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami and a Masters degree in Computer Engineering/Communications Systems from Florida Atlantic University. |

Ron Thompson
Vice President, Customer Service
Ron Thompson, Vice President of Customer Service, has more than 20 years of experience in the customer service arena. Mr. Thompson joined EFJohnson in 2005 and has had a dramatically positive impact on the Customer Service department. He is responsible for Depot Repair, Rework, Warranty Administration, Technical Support, Training, Field Service, Subscriber Software Integration Testing, Service Center Management, and Demonstration Administration. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Thompson served as Vice President of Operations at Remote Dynamics, a provider of wireless data communications and GPS location devices for the transportation and service vehicle markets. He has worked in a variety of high technology industries since 1983 always focusing on providing outstanding customer service. Mr. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. |
