EFJohnson Announces ATLAS® P25 System $2.5 Million Giveaway

IRVING, TEXAS – July 27, 2016 – As a special promotion, EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. is giving away an ATLAS® trunked system software package to 25 qualified customers – a total value of $2.5M.

The giveaway is linked to an ATLAS educational session, “Changing the Paradigm of LMR Systems: Technology that Makes Your System Safe & Simple,” offered twice at APCO International’s annual conference in Orlando on August 14-17, 2016:

  • Monday, August 15 - 3:45 – 4:15 PM
  • Tuesday, August 16  - 11:15 – 11:45 AM

Attendees will learn about the unique Latitude™ technology that makes ATLAS the most modern and flexible P25 system available.

Karthik Rangarajan, Vice-President of Strategy & Product says, “EFJohnson is unique in the LMR industry to offer fully software-defined system solutions. This unprecedented ATLAS giveaway promotion illustrates the benefits and opportunity provided by our advanced ecosystem and network capabilities. From base stations to consoles, ATLAS technology gives agencies greater flexibility and the freedom to choose solutions across multiple vendors rather than being locked in to any one vendor’s proprietary solution.”

EFJohnson fully supports open standards based interoperability and makes it simple to integrate with ATLAS systems. Customers can choose to use another vendor’s components – subscribers, consoles, base stations, logging recorders – at the time of implementation or any time during the life of the system. EFJohnson will demonstrate this ease of integration in the JVCKENWOOD booth (#1027) at APCO.

Vendors’ products tested and certified to operate with the ATLAS network include Avtec, Dell, RF Technologies, Simoco, and Zetron.

The deadline to enter the giveaway is 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2016. Winners will be contacted the first week of August and will receive their ATLAS P25 system certificate packages at the APCO 2016 conference in Orlando, FL. The balance of the registrants will have a second chance to win if they attend one of the ATLAS presentations at APCO.
