JVCKENWOOD Completes Acquisition of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc.
IRVING, TEXAS – March 24, 2014 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. today announced JVC KENWOOD Corporation (JVCKENWOOD) completed its acquisition of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. by acquiring all the outstanding shares of the Company from Francisco Partners in a stock transaction.
EFJohnson is now firmly positioned as one of the three major global turnkey P25 solution providers. With the backing of its large-scale, communications-focused parent, EFJohnson’s innovative and differentiated mission critical P25 systems and subscriber solutions now offer a superior choice and afford greater competition and value to its public safety customer and dealer base.
Today’s announcement is a major accomplishment of JVCKENWOOD’s strategic initiative to increase focus on professional communications, especially the U.S. public safety market. JVCKENWOOD will task EFJohnson to lead its overall corporate P25 initiatives, leveraging EFJohnson’s P25 expertise and focus on mission-critical quality products.
