IRVING, TX- August 15, 2016 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. will showcase its latest innovations for public safety at APCO International’s Annual Conference and Expo, August 14-17, 2016 in Orlando, FL.
Broadening the KENWOOD P25 portfolio, the most advanced Viking® radio designed specifically for public safety users, will be introduced and previewed – the Viking 6000 series. Ergonomically designed, the VP6000 portable radio has a flared grip, large glove-friendly knobs, a top display, and an optimized front color display for day and night visibility.
All KENWOOD Viking radios, both portables and mobiles come with TrueVoice™, software-based noise cancellation that works in analog or digital, eliminates the need to program noise profiles, and works with any accessory. With Armada® programming and fleet management software, Viking radios are simple to maintain. Unique features including kiosk mode, Elite Battery Management, and over-the-intranet programming (OTIP) are easy to use and save valuable time for radio technicians.
Supporting its perpetual software license program, EFJohnson will introduce a new license management tool - the Vault™. The free cloud-based application enables communications managers to transfer radio licenses to a newer hardware model easily and quickly, saving up to 70% of their new radio’s price.
EFJohnson will also demonstrate its patented Latitude™ technology, making ATLAS® the most modern, flexible, and fault-tolerant P25 network compared with traditional Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.
John Suzuki, EFJohnson’s President and CEO says, "EFJohnson is transforming how the LMR industry buys systems and radios. Not only are we changing the way equipment can be purchased but we're modernizing and advancing public safety communications solutions too. Our focus is to make safe simple and we're very excited to show how that translates to our products and solutions."
This month, EFJohnson announced 25 winners of ATLAS trunked system software packages – with a total value of $2.5 million. Agencies will have a second chance to win four more packages when they attend the APCO educational session, ‘Changing the Paradigm of LMR Systems: Technology that Makes Your System Safe & Simple.’ Attendees will be able to register to win at one of the two sessions in the presentation theater, booth 1849:
The sessions will provide an overview of how ATLAS system technology fully supports standards-based interoperability and integration with other vendors’ components including subscribers, consoles, base stations and logging recorders. Avtec, Dell, RF Technologies, Simoco, and Zetron products’ are all tested and certified as part of the ATLAS ecosystem. Latitude technology demonstrations will be held in the JVCKENWOOD booth (1027):
