Irving, TX- August 14, 2017- EF Johnson Technologies, Inc., P25 specialist for JVCKENWOOD Corporation, will introduce its latest innovations in public safety technology at the 2017 APCO International’s annual conference in Denver on August 13-16 in booth #1315:

KENWOOD Viking® VM7000 All-band, Multi-deck Mobile

First responders can simultaneously receive and display up to four bands so they never miss a call. The “select” and “unselect” speakers give the option for audio control similar to a dispatch console. The VM7000 also features mixed protocol operation (P25 Phase 1 &2, SmartNet®/SmartZone®, and FM Analog), built in P25 GPS data, and full featured control head with a large color display and user selectable themes.

Enhanced Vehicular Repeater Solution (EVRS)

In collaboration with Pyramid Communications, EFJohnson has developed the EVRS which improves the portable radio user experience and provides extended coverage while eliminating the challenges associated with traditional digital vehicular repeater systems.

Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (PTToC)

JVCKENWOOD has partnered with ESChat and Sonim Technologies to provide a Push-to-Talk over cellular application that provides a powerful convergence of narrowband and broadband technologies and extends the coverage of public safety users beyond the LMR system. The PTToC solution operates on and across all wireless carriers, and is FirstNet ready today. The LMR system can be accessed from anywhere there is a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.

EFJohnson is also giving away KENWOOD Viking VP6000 portable radios. Attendees can stop by the booth and find all ten hidden images of the VP6000 in the Denver themed mural to be entered to win. The Viking 6000 series was first introduced at APCO 2016 and is specifically designed for today’s public safety agencies with advanced features and ergonomics to meet mission critical operational needs.
