Jim Green Named CEO of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc.

IRVING, TEXAS – April 23, 2014 –  EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. announced today that Jim Green has been named president and CEO, replacing Andrew Adams, who is leaving EFJohnson to return closer to family.

“Mr. Green brings a strong executive leadership background to EFJohnson, which recently joined our JVCKENWOOD group,” commented Haruo Kawahara, chairman and chief executive officer of JVCKENWOOD. “For the past three years, he has served as EFJohnson’s chief operating officer and has spent significant time in the field with customers. With his customer knowledge, we are excited to have Mr. Green lead the continued growth of EFJohnson.”

Mr. Green stated, “This is an excellent opportunity. EFJohnson, with JVCKENWOOD’s backing, is able to deliver the support and product breadth of a large company, yet can still provide the individualized customer experience that EFJohnson prides itself on. I believe that combination is very compelling to the land mobile radio customer base and positions EFJohnson well to win over new customers.”

“The company is definitely in good hands,” remarked Mr. Adams. “As COO, Jim led the teams that transformed EFJohnson’s products, quality, and customer service. He will continue the customer-first philosophy and the focus on innovative product development.”

Prior to joining EFJohnson, Mr. Green served as vice president at Flextronics, responsible for Aerospace, Industrial, and Oil and Gas products; president and CEO of Digital Lightwave Corporation; and president and CEO of Trillium Industry. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
