EFJOHNSON NAMES JOHN SUZUKI PRESIDENT AND CEO

IRVING, TEXAS – May 11, 2015 – EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. announced today that, effective immediately, its board of directors has appointed John Suzuki as president and chief executive officer, to succeed Jim Green.   

Haruo Kawahara, chairman and chief executive officer of JVCKENWOOD Corporation commented: “We appreciate the efforts of Mr. Green in establishing the foundation for the company after JVCKENWOOD acquired EFJohnson in 2014 to position it for its next phase of growth. With this new appointment, we look to Mr. Suzuki to bring his extensive sales leadership for public safety and industrial market experience to capitalize on this growth trend.”

Mr. Suzuki has 30 years of experience in the land mobile radio industry including 7 years leading the sales team at EFJohnson.  Mr. Suzuki also served in sales and operations roles at Motorola Canada, Ericsson Incorporated and most recently at Avtec Incorporated.  He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from Duke University.
